Working software with rough edges beats polished software that doesn't exist. Ship the real thing, learn from real users, then sharpen it.
The system is the product.
A feature that breaks under load, or can't be maintained, isn't a feature. Architecture, reliability, and developer experience are part of the product.
Build for the person using it.
Not for the reviewer, not for the portfolio. The only metric that matters is whether it makes someone's work genuinely easier.
